Meet Slate-IQ

Introduction

A quick video from Sam on why Slate-IQ exists, how the model works, and what to expect every week of the season.

What Sam Covers

Numbers don't lie. Feelings don't scale — systems do.

Welcome to Slate-IQ, a solution to take information — projections, ownership, salaries, Vegas lines, injury reports — into a repeatable process for turning data into a decision. This is NOT a professional DFS site selling guarantees; this is analytical by nature, and Slate-IQ is an attempt to build a transparent, data-driven system and track it out loud, wins and losses included.

The model runs on five parts: a core portfolio of trusted players, data collection, player evaluation, lineup construction, and a post-slate review every week — the part that matters most, because that's how the model actually improves instead of just guessing again next week.

Bankroll like capital: starting at $500, 2.5–5% in play per week, and no chasing losses. And a good score alone isn't the goal — a player projected for 25 points at 5% ownership is a very different decision than the same score at 40% ownership, so opportunity, efficiency, and expected field exposure all factor into the call.

Every week, Slate-IQ publishes three things: a core plays list ranked by projected points and value, pre-lock lineups — one cash build and three GPP builds, with the reasoning behind each — and a post-slate review of what hit, what didn't, and where the bankroll stands. At its core this is meant to be educational: if you walk away each week having learned something, not just gotten a pick, that's the goal.
